On 28 March a push meeting was held and Sihanouk appealed for the Global media: "I appeal to you to publicise overseas this really obvious stand of Cambodia—that's, I will, in any case, oppose all bombings on Cambodian territory below what ever pretext." Nevertheless, the public pleas of Sihanouk had been ignored as well as the bombing ongoing.[f
